Intoxicated Musical Experiences

Insects make me scream and shout

they dont know whats life’s about

they dont have blood, they’ve got too many legs

they dont even have brains in their heads!

You know they’ll rule the world someday

they bite and sting me anyways

they bite and sing and suck

they bite and sing and suck suck suck!

itunes

I managed to get my broken computer running for about 8 minutes, not nearly long enough to burn a cd like I wanted to, but I did find out that “Blue Carolina” by Alkaline Trio had 7 plays on my itunes.  That ranked it in the top 3 most played, might have even tied for first.  My reaction to this?

“Hahaha….  I must have been drinking….”

This Feels So Good

A few thoughts from the past couple days, from somewhere in my brain:

If this is what you feel and/or felt, I totally understand where you are coming from

And I forgive you

Look, Im ready to admit it.  I like Yellowcard’s “Ocean Avenue”

Thank you

I thought it was a sweet thought too, but lately, I would have never known

I think I am finding balance…

!

:)

What are my favorite bands again?

Teach me anything, show me how to look at the stars…

Just one more touch, please, ten more minutes…

No pressure, I’ll take anything.

At the end of the day, I suppose part of the explanation is this:  Its the California lifestyle that I (want to) live.

And when I die, I want Keyboard Kitty to play me off.

Support-a-Musician →

Hey everybody.

My buddy is trying to record an album and is looking for a bit of financial support to help him through.  The link above has a video featuring Bobby Stevens himself explaining what hes going for with the website and the donations and a bit of his music so you can hear what we’re all asking you to donate for.  You can donate any amount, so long as its at least one dollar, and you get various kickbacks for donating $10, $25, $50, etc.  All of Oberlin would love you for not only donating, but reblogging and sharing this with all your friends.

Also, some of the people he’s working with are great creative minds and if you’re looking for some way to spend some of your time on the internet, it wouldnt kill you to check out:

Andy Cook - http://www.myspace.com/andycook

“Sing, Dionysus” is a great album, one that is helping me through a tough time finding new music and inspiration.  Do yourself a favor and give a few listens on his myspace.

Liz Morrison - http://lizmorrison.blogspot.com/2011/04/april-6-2011.html

Liz is a great local artist and its well worth a look at some of her stuff.

Zack Kelley and the Maids of Le Mans - http://www.myspace.com/unclezaxandthestepkids

Zack is another great musician here in town and “The Maids” is his best stuff yet, its a beautiful maturation of a sound he has been working tirelessly on for probably 10 years.  Its a great sound, you wont be sorry.
